The River Stairs
From the house, a beautiful flower and plant lined stone walkway leads you to the edge of the rainforest where a private set of 310 concrete steps takes you down into the heart of Dominica's natural essence. |

A path to your left goes to one of several waterfalls on the property and more steps take you down to the rushing stream of cold, fresh, mountain spring water flowing over moss covered rocks. This secluded spot is a nature lovers dream come true with several wading pools and the rainforest canopy shading you from high above. |
The area is completely private, providing the only access to this part of the river.

The river stairway took 3 years to complete and is exactly 310 steps down to the river's edge, with just as many coming back up, though it's rumoured there are at least 400 more.
The builder installed a concrete bench at the halfway point for weary climbers to rest on their heart-healthy hike back up.
